P2 Periodization

SYSTEMATIC PROGRESSIVE PLANNING

At P2 Soccer we've spent a lot of time developing a structure and philosophy to help our players reach their full potential. With that in mind, we've created a periodized development plan that will help to break down the complexities of soccer into manageable chunks over time.

Within each age division we're looking holistically at athletic development based upon four pillars;
social-emotional, physical, technical, tactical.

Social-emotional

Helping young athletes feel safe and supported. Creating an environment conducive to learning and growth.

Physical

Looking at the mechanics of movement and breaking down each demand into a sequence of manageable movements.

Technical

Dealing with a player's interaction with the ball. Allowing them to be fully in control.

Tactical

Helping players to develop their decision making pertaining to a team's specific strategy and game plan.
